Inside the orderly workshop of Shandong Shankuang, the production of the casing for the 2000-ton heavy-duty ring hammer crusher is progressing steadily as scheduled. As the core protective and supporting component of the crusher, the casing has to withstand severe impacts and material abrasion during crushing operations. Every production procedure is carried out solidly under the strict control of the staff, fully reflecting the pragmatic style of precision manufacturing.
Production starts with the rigorous selection and pre-treatment of raw materials. The staff selects high-quality steel featuring high strength and impact resistance, and manually inspects each sheet to eliminate blanks with surface rust, impurities or uneven material properties. Qualified steel is then sent to special quenching and tempering equipment, where precise temperature-controlled treatment is applied to enhance the comprehensive mechanical properties of the material, ensuring it can endure the continuous load of heavy-duty crushing operations. After quenching and tempering, the steel undergoes straightening to relieve internal stress generated during rolling. Special grinding tools are used to clean the surface section by section, removing oxide layers, burrs and tiny protrusions to achieve a smooth and flat surface, laying a solid foundation for subsequent processing.
Precise control is implemented in the cutting and forming process. Operators use CNC cutting equipment to accurately cut the steel according to the casing structure design, ensuring the dimensions of all components meet assembly requirements. Special bending equipment is adopted to gradually shape the curved panels and load-bearing frames of the casing, with templates used to calibrate angles and radian in real time during the process to avoid deformation deviations. After all components are cut and formed, the staff checks the interface dimensions one by one and finely polishes the edges to remove cutting burrs, ensuring tight fitting during splicing.
The welding process is the core of casing production. Skilled workers adopt high-strength welding technology and perform sectional welding in accordance with the preset welding sequence. Welding slag is removed promptly after each welding section, and professional testing methods are used to inspect welds for defects such as air holes, slag inclusions or incomplete penetration. Any problems found are repaired immediately. Multi-layer welding reinforcement is applied to the load-bearing parts and weld joints of the casing to ensure a firm structure without weak points.
Extreme precision is pursued in machining and assembly surface treatment. Operators conduct precision milling on the installation datum planes and connection holes of the casing, and repeatedly check the flatness and hole position accuracy with special gauges to ensure assembly compatibility with the rotor, frame and other components. After the connection holes are processed, tapping is carried out. A brush is used to clean iron chips in the holes after thread processing, followed by trial screwing with standard bolts to ensure smooth installation. Special wear-resistant treatment is applied to the material contact areas on the inner wall of the casing to improve its anti-wear performance.
The final inspection procedure is carried out with unwavering strictness. Quality inspectors conduct a comprehensive inspection of the casing appearance to confirm defect-free welds and no collision damage on the surface. Special equipment is used to test the overall dimensional accuracy and structural strength of the casing, and simulate working conditions to verify sealing performance, eliminating hidden dangers of air leakage and material leakage. Only when all indicators meet the requirements of heavy-duty crushing operations can the casing complete the current production process.
In the workshop, the staff perform their respective duties with full concentration, paying close attention to every detail from raw material handling to finished product inspection. With solid craftsmanship and a rigorous attitude, they fully ensure the quality of the casing, laying a core protective foundation for the stable and efficient operation of the 2000-ton heavy-duty ring hammer crusher.
